Happy New Year!
It has been a little bit since I posted here. There are many reasons for my lack of content, but one of them is that I was recently invited to join Iowa State Rep. JD Scholten in the reboot of his newsletter, You’re Probably Getting Screwed. Last week I wrote about the new merger guidelines the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice just released!
I’m really excited to join JD in his work to build a populist economic movement as that was my goal when I started posting here. While my writing there will be less Minnesota-focused than it was here, I hope you will check us out, and please offer feedback and suggestions. I might still find reason to post here every now and then, so keep your eyes peeled.
In shameless self promotion, I recently wrote a piece in The American Conservative about Minnesota’s antimonopoly history. If you want to learn about Gov. Samuel Van Sant, Granger Laws, and Minnesota’s role in fighting chain stores, give it a read!
